With my first child, I made the mistake of leaving her clothes on, and even in my sleep deprived state, (I look back now and giggle- I didn’t understand what sleep deprived was back then) I forgot a bib every now and then.
With my second I had moved on to "no shirt with bib", and now for my third, it’s just "none of the above."
Some other tips that you may find helpful-
- Get a shower curtain and lay it under the highchair.
- Put a towel under a high chair that straps onto a chair to make for an easier cleanup.
- Don’t put too much food in front of them at once- this can be overwhelming children will be more likely to make a mess with it. You'll have food all over the floor…and walls…
- You might want to consider getting a dog. If you already have a dog, they wil be excited and well-fed.
Remember, this stage doesn’t last forever, the kids will get bigger and so will the messes! ;)
